Lot Title: 1851-O PCGS MS-65 CACCAC
Lot Number: 755
Description: 56 graded MS-65, 34 higher at PCGS. Because it happens to fall within a sadly neglected series, the 1851-O 3-cent silver coin is an unheralded rarity that can be purchased for an extremely attractive price, even at the properly assigned "Gem" grade level. PCGS nailed this one perfectly, as the gorgeous platinum-grey surface appears to be fully original and lacks any distractions. Furthermore, the peripheral stars are substantially better struck (although not perfectly so) than average for the strike-challenged issue.
