Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1820 Large Date MS-64 BN, and an 1853 MS-65 BN, both NGC
Lot Number: 704
Description: J. Mainstream Collection. An obvious Randall hoard survivor, 1820 features absolutely booming mint luster that rollicks and rolls beneath smooth mahogany-bronze patina. On technical merits, this cent has claims to a full, commercial "Gem" grade, albeit the color is a trifle "off" of the hues normally expected. 1853 features absolutely rock-solid, steadfast caramel-brown imbued with delicate, steely accents over an indelible strike. All in all, each appears to be a rather premium example for the respective commercial grade within this two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
