Description: Fleeting time spent in circulation places this pair of fives just outside the boundary of mint-state. Muted luster skedaddles into the periphery of the somewhat abraded surface for 1878-S, yet wear only lightly affects the details and does little to soften the sharpness of an excellent strike. 1913-S shows very little wear atop the medium gold surface, this coin lying oh-so-close to the cusp of mint-state. Just San Francisco within this two coin lot.
