Description: Gemini. Fr# 1700, famed as the $10 "King of Silver Certificates", needs no introduction for small-sized collectors as it has long been recognized as a very rare and extremely challenging acquisition. A few fabled Gems exist, but by and large, the collector of normal means is well-advised to pursue an approachable middle-grade example, especially such a choice and problem-free example as that offered here. The paper has exactly the right hue for a note of this grade, having been neither washed nor visibly "improved", which allows for full appreciation of the fully original color. Centering is nearly as exact as possible, favoring the bottom margin just a tad while left-to-right is virtually perfect.
