Description: VAM-3 has a high dash beneath the second "8", die chips at the upper loops of each "C" in the mintmark, and some additional die defects attached to the top left of "O" beneath the mintmark. A gargantuan PCGS slab specially designed for GSA holders (yippee, a slab within a slab - consuming even more plastic!) encapsulates the Gem within, a steam-grey example with highly appealing textile pattern on the cheek. While not struck with extreme precision, the sharpness is ample for a Carson City dollar, and shimmering luster rolls off of each side with ease.
