Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1798 Heraldic Eagle PCGS VF-25
Lot Number: 380
Description: Bolender-21, BB-107 (R.4+) features an obverse that can be "eye attributed" once the die chip above "79" is observed, and students of the series will note from the size and shape of the chip that this is B-21, and not the earlier struck B-20, for which the chip is little more than a tiny dot. However, to be safe, one should note that there are only ten arrows on the reverse. The B-21 was still considered "rare" by most resources even within this decade. Sizable adjustment marks race down the eagle's motif, while all other abrasions are consistent with an early dollar in middle grade. The surface has been "brightened up" at some point, but since has regained some olive-brown smudges that greatly help attenuate overly bright impact. A very bold example for just VF-25.
