Description: Interesting variation in coloration may help lend some interest to this pairing of rather common issues within the Liberty double-eagle series. Butter-gold patina surrounds the 1904, yielding to moon-gold hue over Liberty's portrait. The 1904-S takes a distinct path toward orange undertones. As always, both are very well struck, but potential bidders may note that the San Francisco coin displays a few more tiny abrasions on the cheek. Two coin lot.
