Another great branch mint gold coin from this collection - the consistent quality and rarity of these coins continues to impress. This 1882-CC double eagle continues the trend by somehow surviving in PCGS AU-58 condition from an original mintage of only 39,140 coins. As expected from the near-mint grade, there is only the slightest hint of wear on the coin along with chatter in the fields, but the strong luster and wholly original surfaces make this coin one to keep an eye on when it crosses the auction block (ls).
