Lot Title: $1 Obsolete - Run of four 1875 City Warrant of Jefferson City, MO. Three ChCU-63 and one ChCU-64, all PMG EPQ
Lot Number: 1
Description: The City of Jefferson is, of course, now given the simpler appellation of Jefferson City, the state capital of Missouri. An unusual and scarce offering brings to market a run of four 1875 City Warrant singles, three ChCU-63 and one ChCU-64, and all featuring superb EPQ paper -- obvious upon close inspection. Technically, the margins are slightly petite compared to other notes that have been previously brought to market, but these are generally well balanced examples, the "very-choice" example offering particularly nice margins. At one time, this was a scarce note (the Eric P. Newman example grades only VF30!), but a small hoard of remainders was brought to market and helps explain today's availability.
