Description: The Legal Eagle Collection. Small O. Mintage: 300,000. 14 graded AU-50, 26 higher at PCGS. An underrated issue within the Liberty dime series, most examples seen were struck from later, rusty dies, while the present piece shows no signs of the die cracks and roughness often seen. On the contrary, the strike and surface quality are notably clean and accurate for the date. Indeed, the sharpness seems on par with the shallow strikes seen even for mint-state examples, although the smoothly worn surface and lack of cartwheel luster substantiate the assigned AU grade.
