Description: Berry Tree Collection. 14 graded MS-66 BN, 1 higher at PCGS. From the standpoint of a specimen with the "brown" designation, this stellar 2-cent piece stands just by the pinnacle of the finest known. Slightly glossy and exquisitely preserved, the obverse flares beneath the presence of electric blue toning and shows a slender thread of red near the rim, while the reverse takes a more sober approach, showing a fine ring of brick-red color around subtle lavender-brown. The reverse was struck off a rusted, failing die.
