Description: KM# 199.2. Mintage: 282,000, second lowest of the series. One of the more popular world gold type coins, the 6400-reis very rarely shows up in mint-state grades, although at passing glance, this example does appear uncirculated. However, because of the texture of the coins, being struck off of rusty dies, it is always a simple matter to locate slight wear on the cheek to determine true mint-state status, and the evidence of mild rub affirms NGC's assertion. A terrific and attractive example.
