Description: 9 graded MS-64+, 897 higher at PCGS. While the 1936 certainly deserves its status as the key to the proof series, recent census numbers indicate a fairly high proportion reaching the gem level, or at least bordering upon rarified quality. Fragile bone-white patina barely layers each side of this bright example, relieved on the reverse by hints of butterscotch. The depth and strength of the monogram suggests new dies, and as expected, all the details are brought up to lavish extent.
