Description: Shawl Consignment. 39 graded MS-63, 69 higher at PCGS. One of the lowest emissions and a key to the final half of the series, 1914 needs little introduction to enthusiasts. Only 1/8-million were struck, although the absolute survival rate in choice and better mint-state grades exceeds expectations. Due to the bright, frosty white surface and (of course) a lack of wear by circulation, this example looks much like it did when it fell off the dies, albeit subsequent storage has inflicted a few tiny abrasions and splashes of tobacco-gold here and there.
