Description: 14 graded PR-66 CAM, 13 higher at NGC. An incomparably sharp strike helps explain the appeal of the Trade dollar as a proof type coin, and 1883 represents the final emission obtainable for the collector with typical financial resources. This is a finely preserved example that shows no abuse or damage on either side. Pleasing mirrors, deep but not exceedingly so, show on both sides and serve to accent the ice-frosted devices. Faint toast-golden toning enters into the peripheries and satisfactorily frames the outstanding presentation.
