Description: MAGA Collection. Bass-Dannreuther-2, R.4 can best be attributed by noting a high "5" in the date with the flag complete all the way to the end, yet definitely embedded in the bottom of the portrait. On the reverse, observe how a leaf terminates precisely at the right edge of "E" above, and also note a branch pointing exactly midway between the feet of the final "A" in AMERICA. Definite, moderate wear has smoothed down the finest details of the design, yet the eagle's wing feathers retain some internal definition, even though the plumage no longer shows. Well struck, the rich antique-gold surface displays seemingly only honest wear along with occasional abrasions, including a curving hairline scratch left of the eagle's neck. Only trivial adjustment marks can be found on the obverse extreme left side.
