Lot #: Go
Lot Title: 1921 Alabama PCGS MS-64
Lot Number: 1035
Description: Evidently struck from fresh, early dies, the obverse surprisingly enough offers unexpected cameo characteristics, as the conjoined portraits seem to be layered in ethereal snow-white mint frost, while the fields display typical luster for the type. Normal brilliance appeals from the reverse. This is quite an eye-catching example for the normally staid Alabama design, especially for only MS-64, and the presence of some tobacco-olive above and below the portraits adds testament to vintage surfaces. Slide marks on the cheeks undoubtedly delimit the grade.
