Lot Title: Twenty Franklin half-dollars certified by PCGS
Lot Number: 1010
Description: Shop Talk Collection. A very pleasing group consisting mostly of 1948-D examples certified MS-64FBL. There are thirteen of them. Four additional 1948-D examples include one certified MS-64+FBL, and three MS-65. Rounding out the collection is a 1952 MS-64FBL, a 1952 MS-65, and a 1954 MS-64FBL. Since the majority of the coins are either frosty white or creamy in appearance, the 1948-D MS-64+FBL really jumps out from the bunch. Its reverse reflects classic end-roll toning that includes a mishmash of lemon yellow, apple green, rich blues, soft rose, and vibrant russet hues (Scotia described).

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
