Description: Blackjack Can Collection. Mintage: 59,000. Terribly low production created rarity for the 1874-CC that makes it an instantly recognizable key to the series. Very few survive even above the AG level, yet this bold example benefits from a couple of faint letters on the shield, as well as a few feathers emerging on the eagle's motif. Absolutely gorgeous, original charcoal patina decorates the fields and contrasts wonderfully with the medium grey motifs. An exceedingly difficult half-dollar that will have no shortage of suitors in today's auction.
