Description: Outrageous eye-appeal is better seen than explained for this absolutely jaw-dropping 1893-O quarter. While extremely attractive, multi-faceted luster invigorates the eye-appeal, aesthetics benefit from utterly delightful album colors, including cinnamon-grey and sea-green accents that progressively spread toward the rims. The exacting strike definitely exceeds expectations for a New Orleans production, with faint weakness seen only on the reverse at the bottom of the arrows. Coins of such fine preservation deserve special mention in any setting, and we are pleased that the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award makes perfect sense here. One of the prettiest coins in today's auction.
