Description: The First National Bank of Tarkio, Missouri. This scarcer $20 combines attractive problem-free paper with good ink to create strong appeal. Ultra sharp signatures deserve special mention as well. Tarkio College closed in 1991, and was prior a Presbyterian college located at the extreme northwest corner of the state. The scientist responsible for the discovery of nylon, Wallace Hume Carothers, was an alum of the tiny facility in the early 1900s.
